Riki Osborne is a skilled carver, based in Taranaki. He has always had a passion for bone and stone and has been carving for many years. Riki is dedicated to sharing his skills with others and is currently teaches with the New Plymouth bone carving club at Rangimarie Maori arts and crafts centre in his spare time.
Rikis' big bush works highlight a dynamic relationship between materiality and subject matter. They explore the evolution of landscapes and the transformation of life forms from deserts to oceans and into thriving bushlands
