Marilyn Jones creates abstract textile compositions by deconstructing and reducing form and colour based on observations of the world around her by combining sketching, patternmaking, and applique.

This Taranaki-based Artist deftly crafted works are inspired by landscapes, urban spaces, memory, and domestic settings. They are crafted from a marvellous stash of fabric gleaned over the years, gifted from friends and her mother's textile collection. For BUFFET, Marilyn's works are served off the wall and onto the body in a perfect balance with four clever brooches titled Amuse-bouche.
