Swamp Witch's Chain

Like the “Queen’s Chain” but better.  Just by looking at this chain will give you the special power to bestow a chain's width of protection around any swamp that you may know of or stumble across.

Long live the Swamp Witch. 

Ninety percent

"....Things don't soar here - they creep and wriggle.  Birds don't chime, they croak.  Waters don't run foaming and glacial blue.  They seep, inky and inscrutable."*

Over the last 180 years or so, about ninety percent of wetlands and swamps have been drained to make way for (mostly) agrarian development.  These wet areas act as kidneys or sponges to soak up and filter the good and bad shit that flows across and through the land, improve water quality and help recycle and process waste, nutrients and sediment washed from the land.
