Turumeke Harrington's works reference socio-economic issues and the pull of mātauranga Māori through composition and industrial design.

Turumeke's recent installation STUMPED! on Waiheke Island and SWAMPED, the current Courtenay place light boxes exhibition (on until June 3 2024), both use the stump as a phallic symbol for the patriarchy to address confronting histories of confiscation, demarcation of whenua and the resulting overwhelming problematic nature of urban life.
